With the imminent release of Stephen Pease’s first novel, (Enigma in Whitechapel), he needed to establish a web presence for which to focus his book launch promotion, social awareness & e-commerce efforts around. Working with local business (Kawartha Lakes/Bobcaygeon) who is able to meet face-to-face was an important section criteria Stephen was looking for in website designer.
Based on goals, vision and functionality for the site, WordPress was selected as the content management system (CMS) for this project. A nifty “book” theme for WordPress with flip-style page transition effect was an obvious client favourite given it’s digital replication of the traditional page flipping feel.
Portage Design worked closely with Stephen to layout the desired content, graphics, look-and-feel and functionality to deliver an awesome web presence.
Best of luck Stephen on the release of your first novel! We look forward to reading our author signed copy (available here) this fall, curled up beside a seasonal fire. By the way, the paper-back or eBook copy makes a great Christmas gift for the reader on your shopping list.
